I think 109 not 107

Since I am the former possessor, I can swear that this coin is one and the same coin as the linked coin of the NAC sale.

The item was bought by me from cgb.fr and at the time of the purchase, there was sealing on the surface. Somebody might have applied it for the purpose of concealing especially the flan cracks even though it implied blurring the details. The sealing was removed via solvents by a professional restorer, who additionally exposed the details. At the point of time, the coin was photographed at NAC, both the flan cracks and the details are clearly visible.

Gordianus III, not Severus Alexander.

Hast doch Recht gehabt. Wird auch auf der Fake Seite von Ancient Forum coins prima dargestellt.
Echt besten Dank für die Nachricht.

Wird diese Münze nicht in Thompson in Essays Robinson 118 erwähnt?
  akela 18. June 2016, 08:46

Coin is fake. Tamar irregular coppers doesnot have such ornament around main monogram. both circles in " hearts" must touch each other ! and together they make something like lying "8" and not such ugly ornament. . Rusudan countermark is also totally fake. And, how cannot you see that clear part on the backside is not a countermark trace, but completely artificially made !

Fake, struck by modern dies on a real ancient flan.

For discussion and other samples see:

Wrong weight, too low for the Pentonkion (here the genuine specimen that inspired the forger: http://numismatics.org/collection/1944.100.10008)

Wrong style, as pointed out here: http://www.forumancientcoins.com/fakes/displayimage.php?pos=-15477
