Half Reale shown in slab is incorrect Reign, period and assayer. This is Philip IV, Assayer "D" of 1621- 1634. Assayers name is unknown.

Stack' Bowers withdrew the coin from the auction, because it is a modern fantasy fake. Silver coins of Childebert I exist, but their style and fabric is completely unlike the present piece.
