Description

Trebonianus Gallus. AD 251-253. Æ Sestertius (18.40 g, 12h). Rome mint, 5th officina. 2nd emission, AD 251-252. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Temple of Juno: Distyle temple with round dome and three steps; within, Juno seated front, head left, holding grain ears and globe. RIC IV 110a var. (peacock at side; not holding grain ears and globe); Banti 14 var. (same). VF, brown patina with traces of green deposits, lightly smoothed. Rare.
